Guadalupe Torres is recognized as one of the finest potters in the reproduction of pre Hispanic art and has a fine reputation. She is true to the most intricate of details.

Guadalupe is the 4th generation in her family to do these excellent reproductions. As many of the artists in Mexico, the family works together producing the various pieces. She has been working in this art for over 30 years, having started at a very young age.

This artist has a vast knowledge of the history of each piece of indigenous art and we are looking forward to her visiting La Manzanilla and giving a lecture on the art and some of the history of the Mexican people before the Hispanic rule to our children and adults as well.
